With CN protect+ we are expanding our product portfolio of mineral floating decks and thus add another product to our range of high quality expanded clay products.
At present we envisage the main area of use of this product primarily in modern agriculture, and in particular as a very effective full area slurry tank cover. CN protect+ is made of a modified form of (Leca) expanded clay and is therefore sold in cubic metres (m³).
CN expanded clay is impregnated with almost permanent waterproofing, so that capillary action within the floating expanded clay body is practically zero and there are thus no areas left where the liquid medium covered can evaporate. This prevents the medium from polluting the surroundings with bad odours, ammonia and nitrogen oxides.
CN protect+ is intended to have the potential to reduce emissions, which is of course also advantageous for other applications such as lagoon covers, sewage treatment plant covers as well as providing ideal protection and benefits for a wide range of covers for liquids.
Over and above this, our product also offers unbeatable cost efficiency, thus also addressing the economic factor of covering slurry tanks. Modern-day farmers already have to comply with numerous requirements and are also subject to financial burdens. It is here that our mineral floating deck shows its other strength in a direct comparison of prices with alternative methods (floating tarpaulins, plastic floating bodies, canopy roofs, enclosed liquid manure silos etc.). Another economic aspect are the cost savings for additional manure, as it may be able to reduce consumption or requirements in this area.
vWe commissioned the renowned Institute for Soil and Environment LUFA Nord – West to perform a long-term study of our product, adhering to scientific criteria, of course. The study is still ongoing , but the initial trends meet our high expectations. We would just like to mention that the legal requirements (the regulations of the Clean Air Act (TA Luft) and the Federal Pollution Control Act (BImSchG)) currently in place are not only fulfilled, but are even exceeded by far.
We request your understanding for the fact that, at this point, we are unable to give any precise figures at present, since the study has not yet been completed and we do not wish to leave room for speculation here, or to influence or even disrupt the results of the scientific study, so we are waiting patiently for the final results. Of course, we will publish the results in due course.
